will remain with the old rates, unless a Re-Cost is done.
- "Load Rates" can only make changes if:
the Windows user login has access rights to make the changes
Access rights in XP and 2000
the files are not read-only
the files are not set to be hidden
Show hidden files in windows
your rates files are not damaged and therefore cannot be updated
the rates update download is not corrupted. - You may have copied the Zone file from a CD and it may have the read-only attribute set. You need to close Topaz and remove the read-only attribute before you can use the Zone file. Zone files always start with a X, and will look something like "Xbarrackstreet.db". They can be found in "C:\Program Files\Datatex\Topaz\Rates".
- Your rates or Zone file may be damaged. Close TOPAZ. Run a rates update, and copy a Zone file from the Topaz CD (making sure to remove the read-only attribute). Now open TOPAZ and do a "Load Rates".
- When you work on WINDOWS NT/XP/2000 make sure the user login for Windows have rights to delete from the registry.
