BDE Install Error: $2108

The file idapi32.dll is missing (this file is included in the Datatex BDE
installation) or Windows did not allow you to install the BDE .

Do a full search on the C drive for this file.

This file should be in the following folder:
Windows 2000:
C:\Program Files\Borland\Common Files\BDE
XP:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Borland Shared\BDE

If the BDE folder is not present then BDE was not installed.
This could be due to:
The incorrect access rights of the Windows login.
Please sort out the access rights!

The BDE install files could also be damaged:
Download it from our website http://www.datatex.co.za -> Downloads -> Miscellaneous

If this does not work and it is a first-time installation, try the following:
Make sure your Windows user is setup with the correct access.
Remove TOPAZ.
Reboot the PC and log in to Windows with the login of the user who will be
using TOPAZ.
Install TOPAZ and the BDE.

If you still can't find the file mentioned at the top, try running the
Setup.exe from the BDE folder on the Topaz CD.

NOTE: If you can't run setup.exe from the CD you can copy the CD to your hard drive
and try running it from there. If you get an error while copying to the
hard drive it is possible that the CD is damaged.

If your user login is setup correct and your install files are not damaged
the TOPAZ should now be working.
