Overview:
The preferred method is to save the pabx.pip file on the PC
that PABX3 is running and let TOPAZ import the pabx.pip file
over the network. In most cases the PABX3 received rawdata via
the comport from the PABX. Therefore if the network goes down,
the data files is written on the local PC and is not lost.
PABX3:
TOOLS -> tick CREATE RAWDATA
OPTIONS -> FILE PATHS -> PIPE FILE,
"C:\Program Files\Datatex\PABX3\pabx.pip".
Share the "C:\Program Files\Datatex\PABX3" on the network,
sharename for example "pabx3".
These settings is saved in the pabx.prf file in the folder
"C:\Program Files\Datatex\pabx3". Make sure that your Windows
login give you the required access rights.
TOPAZ:
SETUP -> PROPERTIES -> PABX, pabx input file:
\\The PABX3 PC name\the sharename\pabx.pip
The timer must be on, else TOPAZ will not import data.
If the buttons are greyed out, then it is a client version,
and will not import data.
