Overview:
Incoming calls are not costed by default. Therefore they do not
have a call type for costing purposes. The call type is 'INCOMING',
which implies no cost.
Costing on incoming calls: Share Calls:
If share calls is being used then the incoming call needs to be costed.
If CLI is available then there is an option to cost all incoming calls.
SETUP -> PROPERTIES -> FILTERS AND DEFAULTS, tick 'Cost Incoming CLI'.
The billing needs to be setup for this global costing on all incoming.
SETUP -> PROPERTIES -> BILLING.
For share calls, you need to determine which type of costing is being shared.
Then you need to setup this costing under Billing. For per second costing,
devide the 'normal' rate by 2 and use this amount for the 'Incoming' category under the
'Per second billing' section.
TOPAZ Report: Costing on incoming calls: Share Calls:
You can pull the report on incoming calls with a price under reports.
ALSO SEE: What is the difference between COST and PRICE in Topaz.
Call Category:
Since the only billing type is 'INCOMING', you cannot pull a report
by Call Category as is the case with outgoing calls.
You will have to find your own 'rules' to group calls together, for example
Cellular calls. For cellular you can use the prefixes (072,082,073,083,074,084,076)
to group cellular calls with the 'Field Selection' and 'like' option.
'Number like 072%' will list all telephone numbers starting with 072.
Which means you need a seperate report for each prefix.
Please note:
Costing on incoming calls is only available for all incoming calls when CLI is available.
You cannot set costing on incoming calls from a specific telephone number.
