- TMS records are collected in a file and periodically sent to the TMS. Periods are adjustable. There's unfortunately no mechanism to get the TMS records in real time. The system certainly have no serial output for TMS.
These integrate using the LANCTE connector on the BCM which is an inexpensive component/license. It's a CTI connector that sends real time data on targeted extensions to an external application. It's standard Tapi, Readable text on the application side.
Conclude:
- By default the Nortel BCM 400 does not give real-time SMDR data. AMETHYST requires real-time data for call details.
Currently we do not have a plugin for real-time data of the BCM 400. You can request a new plugin. Post a request, refer to forum post for required information:
Request: What information is required to write a plugin?
Plugin for CDR data(not real-time), PABX3 Plugin: Meridian BCM version 3.7 release2.4f
We do not have any integration for real-time data with the BCM 400. Therefore it cannot be used with AMETHYST. If the PABX writes out a text file, we can develop a plugin for it. This can be used with the input file option in PABX3 for TMS purposes, see
Can TOPAZ receive SMDR from a Nortel BCM 50 (aerial output) via the internet?
