timer will go off in the following cases:
Loading the PIP file
Set under SETUP->PROPERTIES->PABX, by enabling Auto Load.
Default option is every 60 minutes, see below log entry:

Please note that the import takes place every hour, depending on how
long it takes to load the minutes can move up - next load is then a
hour after the import finish and not after it started importing.
Running a scheduled report
Under REPORTS -> BATCH reports, you can set the time when the batch
must always start to run.
Loading the rates.
This can be run
manually
SETUP -> PROPERTIES -> RATES, click on Load Rates.
or by running the update and then opening TOPAZ.
Running a report on the master and leaving it open.
If something goes wrong, during the time that the timer is off,
the process is supposed to exit and the timer is supposed to be
enabled again. A damaged database might cause this.
The Client version doesn’t have a timer to enable or disable and
it doesn’t have any networking facilities to communicate with the
master Topaz.
