First upgrade to the latest version of TOPAZ. It is available on
the internet, http://www.datatex.co.za -> downloads -> topaz.

If that does not work try the following. But try one at a time in
the order that they appear here:

TOPAZ Report Settings:

  1. Write down the settings of the report that gives you the problem and delete it.
    Now setup a new report with the same settings and try pulling the report again.
  2. Close TOPAZ, delete the "c:\tmptopaz" directory and start Topaz again.

If you are using any of the export features of Topaz, just copy
those files out of the C:\TMPTopaz folder first and copy them
back when you are done.

    PC requirements and settings for TOPAZ:

    READ: PC requirements to run Topaz

  1. Check if the shared directory on the master PC has full access for the client
    PC.
  2. Check that the shortcut being used on both PCs are the same.
    (Verify the Target in the Shortcut)

ALSO SEE: Installation of a Client TOPAZ.

TOPAZ Database files:

  1. Check the record count before doing the re-index,
    SETUP-> PROPERTIES-> TRANSACTIONS-> Current Record Count.
    If the TRAN file has more than 300 000 records, you will have
    to replace it with a blank TRAN and import the calls again.

    ALSO SEE: TABLE FULL - Also reindex does not seem to work.
    ALSO SEE: tblTran: No index for fields 'Date;Time;Extension' when starting Topaz
  2. Reindex all the data files in the data directory.
    (Ensure that you make a backup copy first)

    Read SSL: How do I reindex a database file?
  3. If the Reindex fails try running the Rebuild executable.
