Requirements:

It must be a SMTP mail server.

Use QV to view the e-mailed report.

Quick Report Viewer is available on:

The TOPAZ CD under the EXTRA folder. The program name is QV.exe.
Search for the a Quick Report Viewer on the internet:
for example, www.fairport.com.au/Downloads/ under the 'Free Utilities' section.
This program name is qrpv.exe.
Setup:

Click on SETUP, and then PROPERTIES.
Choose MAIL SERVER (click on arrow on the right to view more options).

You must enter:

the SMTP mail server IP address,

and the FROM address. FROM address is the reply to address.
Some mail servers will give the error: INCOMPLETE HEADER,
if there is no from address.

For most mail servers, Account Login can be your PC name
and you can leave the Account Password blank.

For mail servers which require authentication, you need to
enter a valid Account Password and Account Login. Please
check with the network administrator. Keep in mind that
this account will also be the reply to address for TOPAZ
reports.
Click on APPLY (at the bottom of the screen) to save changes.

Use:

To e-mail a report:

Single Report:
In TOPAZ > REPORTS
Choose report needed (STANDARD/MANAGEMENT/CUSTOM...).
Click on EMAIL.
Enter the destination e-mail address in the box and click
on OK to send.
Batch Report:

To view e-mailed reports you will need QV.

This can be downloaded from www.datatex.co.za
under downloads > miscellaneous > click on Quick Report Viewer to download.
On the Topaz 1.6.5.4 CD go to the EXTRA folder for QV.exe
You have to copy this file to each PC that will be receiving TOPAZ reports by e-mail.
You can choose your own directory, for example C:\Program Files\
