Yes!
This document discusses 2 pabx's, but you can use more than 2.
Requirements:
PABX units are in the same rates zone.
The PC must have multiple com ports.
And you must run 2 pabx3 programs pointing to the same .pip file.
You will only need one TOPAZ.
Setup:
PABX A:
First install PABX3 as if it is a single PABX unit.
In PABX3 choose [OPTIONS -> GENERAL -> Extension Prefix].
Differenciate between the 2 pabx's with example a or b as the extension prefix.
PABX B:
The default installation PABX3 will be PABX A.
You can copy the PABX3 to PABXB.
The default file path for PABX3 is C:\Program Files\Datatex\PABX3
In this example it will now be:
C:\Program Files\Datatex\PABX3 for PABX A
and C:\Program Files\Datatex\PABXB for PABX B
For the PABX B remember:
make sure that the second PABX3 is running in a different folder
as the first, else it will use the same INI file (and settings).
to change the extension prefix
and the comport number
Now make sure that it uses the same .pip file as PABX A.
In [PABX3 -> OPTIONS -> FILES -> PIPE FILES].
In [PABX3 -> OPTIONS -> Network] Enable must be ticked.
In [PABX3 -> OPTIONS -> Network] Listen on port, must be
your second comport number, for example 25100.
The default file path for the pip is C:\Program Files\Datatex\pabx3\pabx.pip
Therefore, the default file path for both PABX3s already points to
C:\Program Files\Datatex\pabx3\pabx.pip
In TOPAZ under [SETUP -> PROPERTIES -> PABX File Update],
The default file path is already C:\Program Files\Datatex\pabx3\pabx.pip
Remember to put both PABX3's in your startup.
