How do I set up ONYXplus with SMDRLINK?

Postby Belinda Frick » Mon Dec 13, 2010 11:10 am

Overview

SMDRlink for Windows must be installed on the ONYXPlus server.
SMDRLink must be setup as per the PABX and must be receiving data.

SMDRlink to ONYXPlus

  • Install the latest version of SMDRLink for Windows on the ONYXPlus server.
(See Document: How to install the AMTSMDRLINK as a service
  • Once the installation is complete, open up your web browser.
SMDRLink can be accessed by entering //127.0.0.1:3081 in the address section of your browser.
  • Login to SMDRlink (LOGIN: admin PASSWORD: datatex).
  • Click on the "Configure SMDRlink" icon.
  • Under "General Settings":
    • change your server IP to 127.0.0.1.
    • Select the plugin for the PABX you are using or else SMDRlink won't receive data.
(The plugin for your PABX can be requested from support@datatex.co.za or it can be downloaded from the
member area of our website http://www.datatex.co.za if you have a login and password.
    • Your server port should be 27002.

Once the above has been configured SMDRlink will send call details to ONYXPlus.

When a recording is made in ONYXPlus, ONYXPlus will always update the following fields:

  • Date and time
  • Extension (if extension side recording)
  • Duration (as per voice recording software)
  • Reference (recording reference number)

SMDRlink will update the following in ONYXPlus:

  • Number(If the PABX has CLI, then incoming calls will also have a telephone number).
TROUBLESHOOTING

  • If SMDRLink is not receiving data, make sure that your PABX is sending data in the correct format
so that it can be translated correctly.
  • Check that the communication method between SMDRlink and the PABX is correct (TCP or Serial connection)
  • Make sure that all required ports are available if connecting via the network to the PABX and for
    sending to ONYXplus via SMDRLINK.
  • Always make sure that the plugin you are using is on the latest version.
  • Just like for TOPAZ, SMDRlink must receive data first otherwise we wont have anything to send to ONYXPlus. For how to check whether SMDRlink is recieving data see post - SMDRLink: How do I see my call data?
