Onyxplus playback screen has the play button greyed out

The search screen will be disabled under the following conditions:

When ONYXPlus cannot connect to the database. You will see an error on the screen if this happens.

Solution

Stop the ONYX Sweeper service.
Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Services
Find the onyx sweeper and stop it.

Edit the ONYX Sweeper.ini file.
right click
edit

Under the [PATHS] section
Change DATAPATH to

C:\Program Files\Datatex\Onyx\data\

Save and close the ini

Start the ONYX SWEEPER service and ONYXPlus application again.

The calls will now playback in the playback screen.

Example of the ONYX_Sweeper.ini:

Note: For DATABASE you can use either the PCName or IP of the
ONYXPlus server. Take note of the notation of the file location and
that the ONYXPlus server must have a 'static IP', else
use the PCName.


When no channels are configured.
When the license is invalid.

Check the following:

That the Sweeper has UDP port 27004 open (netstat -ban | findstr 27004),
and is not firewalled.
The the Config application has UDP port 27002 open, and is not firewalled.
That the machine doesn't have multiple IP addresses (the Sweeper may send
the database location to the wrong IP, and the Config application won't receive it).
That channels appear on the channels screen in the Config application.

Things to try:

Try clicking on "Check Expiry" and then "License Onyx+". Then check the
Playback screen.
Last resort: send all the INI files with the log for the day to support@datatex.co.za.
