ONYXPLUS expired, how to get the recording while unlicenced

Postby Belinda Frick » Mon Dec 13, 2010 11:14 am

Overview:

The recording and details is placed in the data folder for the on which it was made. From
there the .dt and .gsm files is moved to the WORKFOLDER. From the week folder it will be
sweeped into the database or if unsuccessfull it is moved to the INCOMPLETE folder.

Please note: When unlicensed the ONYX_Sweeper does not run. After licensing, it will
start sweeping the files from the WORKFOLDER (written there before expired).

If expired then ONYX_lines will stop running. If ONYX_lines is not running then ONYXPlus is
not recording. Therefore no recordings until you license ONYXPlus.

Steps to follow:

While unlicensed the .dt and .gsm files will be move to the INCOMPLETEPATH. You need to move
the content of the INCOMPLETEPATH folder to the WORKPATH folder. These paths is configured in
the Onyx_Sweeper.ini file. The Onyx_Sweeper will now sweep the recordings into the database.

Example of Onyx_Sweeper.ini:

[PATHS]
DATAPATH=\\cardserver\Onyx\data\
WORKPATH=\\cardserver\Onyx\temp\
INCOMPLETEPATH=C:\Program Files\Datatex\Onyx\incomplete\
DATABASE=cardserver:C:\Program Files\Datatex\Onyx\ONYX.FDB
[PORTS]
LISTENPORT=27004
[SETTINGS]
STANDALONE=0

When does ONYXPlus expire?

30 days after the first recording (not installation), rounded to the end of the month.

example 1:
If you install on the first of September and the first recording is on 5 September, then
30 days thereafter is 5 October rounded to the end of the month. Therefor it expires
on 31 October.

example 2:
If you install on the first of January and the first recording is on 1 January, then
30 days thereafter is 30 January rounded to the end of the month. Therefor it expires
on 31 January.
