Erratic Windows Media Player not playing Amethyst recordings

Hi all,

Not to sure if anyone else out there has experienced this problem:

I have a user that's been using Windows Media player through Amethyst to play back her selected recordings.

The problem however comes in that she has this erratic problem where every now and again the player wont play the selected recording back through the Windows Media player in the Amethyst page.

All profile related security has been checked and has not been modified in a while for this user.

Any suggestions ?

If you can play recordings back and then some does not play back, please check if any error message is displayed on the Supervisor screen. Please attached it (use jpg format or rar it). Also attached the relevant log file for the day you tried to play the recording back - see forum post:
How to download logs from amethyst web admin.

Remember to select the Supervisor, server and admin log files.

The next recording you cannot play, try the following:

  • Save it on the Supervisor PC. It will be in .wav format. See if you can play it back with Windows Media Player.
  • e-mail it to another PC. It will be in .wav format. See if you can play it back with Windows Media Player.

If you cannot play it back, please save the wav file, rar the file and attach it.
