How do we do this, can we export or somthing?

We are changing all our telephones to the new Snom PABX that records all the telephone communications on seperate server. We require to make a back up of all the existing calls for our future referrals. Please advise.

E-mail from Client: - I note no response from you or Datatek. We have now switched over to our new system and require to correctly close off, etc, the old system. We have also changed the laptops in our office, please advise if anything requires to be undertaken in the new laptops in order to retrieve stored and archived recordings. Await your response.

They can continue to use AMETHYST to search for recordings.

If auto purge is enabled, then only recordings for days to keep alive period is available in AMETHYST Supervisor. They can disable this feature and use Supervisor to do searches on the current live database.

Only archived recordings will be purged (if auto purge enabled).

AMETHYST already has the archive feature. Archived recordings are listened to using AMTListen - refer to topic: Listening to an archived & purged recording in Amethyst 1.5+

To make further backups of the recording, they can make a backup of the existing archives.

Thank you for your response. The idea is to do away with the Servers and also have access. Is it possible to then store all the recordings on a smaller and dedicated hard drive that we are able to access? Await your response.

AMTListen can be used to access recordings on the archive drive from a Windows PC, but you need to get a daily login. The daily log is a security measure. To get the daily login, you need to log into AMETHYST webadmin.

My suggestion was to check if auto purge is enabled, if not and the oldest recording date matches that of the install date-time, then all recordings are still in AMETHYST. Use Supervisor to access the recordings on the 'live system'. Only the AMETHYST server needs to be up and running.

To see the oldest recording date, use the View System Status report.

The archives can be used as a backup.

The cardserver can be removed under 'Configure Cardserver/CRE' to ensure no error messages is sent.
On the latest version archiving can also be set to no archive, this will ensure that critical e-mail is not sent each night.
