  • Thresholds can now be configured from the Web Admin -requires Web Admin 1.6.3.20

Thresholds are the voltages that determine when recordings start or stop for analogue lines. They are also used to determine whether a channel is disconnected.

There are two thresholds for each channel. The lower threshold is the minimum voltage at which the channel can operate. Below that voltage, the channel is considered to be disconnected. The default is 1 volt. The upper threshold is the voltage at which a call is considered to be active or not. Most analogue lines are at least 48 volts normally, and approximately 9 volts when on a call. For some PABXs, the analogue extensions may be at 24 volts normally, and 9 volts when on a call. The default upper threshold is 16 volts.

Above higher threshold of 16 volts = on-hook (not on a call)
Between lower and higher thresholds of 1 volt and 16 volts = off-hook (on a call).
Below lower threshold of 1 volt = disconnected
