Funny characters for user name on View Agents screen

To clear the list of USBClient agents on the View Agent screen
you can clear it in AMETHYST webadmin under 'Maintain Agents'.
All users that were displayed on the Maintain Agents list will
then be removed from the View Agents screen.

The information to display on the 'View Agents' screen in AMETHYST
Supervisor is stored in the shared memory on the server. If an
agent name with funny characters is displayed then this user
will not be listed under Maintain Agents and cannot be removed
from the View Agents Listing by clearing the Maintain Agents List.

The only option is to shut the AMETHYST server down via AMETHYST
webadmin.

Please shut the server down outside recording hours because:

USBClients in VOX mode get call termination from the AMETHYST
server. USBClient will trigger to record, but not receive call
details (like phone number) and not terminate before 12 seconds
(USBClient 1.6) or 40 seconds (USBClient 1.5). If a second call
is made within this time, you will have one continuous recording.

USBClients in CTI mode get the "START" and "STOP" message from
the AMETHYST server. If the server is down the start recording
message is never sent to the USBClient from the server and no
recording will take place. Also no call termination (since no
"STOP" message).

With Cardservers, the recordings will only have the call details
provided by the recording card. For example trunk side recording
will have no extension number (only the word "EXT"). This could
cause licensing issues.

The AMETHYST server must be shut down via AMETHYST webadmin.
Login and then select the SHUT DOWN icon (second from top right).
Once the server has shut down completely, you can power it up again.

Note:

If the 'funny' characters is sent again over the network to the
AMETHYST server, the information will appear again on the 'View Agent'
screen and you have to repeat the process.

The problem seems to lie with the USBClient. We are busy investigating
the issue.
