Configure the card server so that a description entered is used as the extension,
and the cardserver will stop complaining about missing SMDR data, because it has
extensions. You can then also configure a username, to describe the person.
Configure agents screen
Let's say that channel 3 is the one we want to record and it's not connected
to a PABX. We make sure that channel 3 is configured as EXT (not LINE
or VOX) and under DISPLAY NAME, we enter a short description which will appear
under the EXT column in Amethyst.
User mapping screen
In AMETHYST ADMIN, by USERNAME MAPPING. We find channel 3 and under DISPLAY NAME,
we can enter the name of the person.
Please note: LDA
For analogue cards, AMTCards receives digits and creates a telephone number from those digits.
This would work on both extension and trunk installations.
Telephone numbers will only be displayed if you use a:
- LDA card for analog lines.
- LDA card for analog extensions.
- For the DP card on ISDN line, you will have:
- Date and Time
- Duration
- Trunk
- Number(if the ISDN provides this)
No slicing of calls when transferring. When a call is transferred from one ext to another,
there will only be 1 recording and not two individual recordings as usual.
Conclude:
This solution will only work with a Cardserver and when recording analog lines or extensions.
