Amethyst Supervisor has echo or sound effect on playback

The AC97 sound cards have a feature named Sound Effects Manager.
It is located in the control panel. When you run this there will be a
dropdown box in the Environment group. There you have to change the
dropdown to None.

If you cannot change this make sure that you are an administrator and
that your Hardware accelaration is set to full.
