How do I manually set a USBClient to CTI mode?

Postby Belinda Frick » Tue Dec 13, 2011 9:17 am

The mode of the USBClient is stored in the 'ClientState' value in the 'USBClient.ini' on the individual agent PCs.

CLIENTSTATE : Specifies client state from VOX to full CTI mode

0 = VAD
3 = CTI

CTI mode expects a START and STOP message to start/stop recordings.
This is received from TAPI applications, for example AMTMitel.

Steps:

  • Stop the USBClient service:
    START -> CONTROL PANEL -> ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS -> SERVICES,
    click on the USBClient service name and then the STOP link (top left).
  • Navigate to 'C:\Program Files\Datatex\USBClient'.
  • Edit the USBClient.ini and set the Clientstate to '3'.
  • Save the USBClient.ini file.
  • Start the USBClient service.
  • Make a test call and play it back in AMETHYST Supervisor.
  • On the AMETHYST Supervisor screen on the 'View Agents' screen it will list each USBClient extension. Under the 'Version' column it will show the USBClient version and the state, for example VAD/CTI.
