How do I stop AMETHYST Server from sending e-mails?

Postby Belinda Frick » Wed Nov 17, 2010 8:36 am

Overview:

The e-mails are sent as notification that there is a problem with a specific agent and that no recording was made. This helps to identify a problem as it occurs and thus prevents loss of call recordings.

Once the problem at the Agent's PC is sorted out, the notifications will stop.

Procedure:

Remove your e-mail address from the AMETHYST Server configuration:

  • AMETHYST 1.6:

NOTE: In AMETHYST 1.6 you have the option to configure mail to be sent per feature. You can only remove the e-mail address for the feature you wish to disable or remove the mail settings(smtp server and port) and all mail will be disabled.

  • AMETHYST versions before 1.6:

    • AMETHYST 1.4 Windows server:

      AMTServer.ini in "C:\Program Files\Datatex\Amethyst".

      Code: Select all
      [SMTP]
      SMTPSERVER=
      USER=
      AdminEmail=

    • AMETHYST Linux server:

      • AMETHYST 1.5:
Log in as Aministator on the webserver.
        Choose "Configure Mail/SMS Settings".
      • AMETHYST 1.4:
        Log in as Aministator.
        Choose "Settings".

WARNING: AMETHYST Server will not be able to send any e-mails!.

This will include all e-mail notifications and other e-mail functionality,
for example the e-mail of recordings from the supervisor screen.

CONCLUDE: DATATEX does not advised you to disable the e-mail notifications!
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
