Amethyst very slow and loggin supervisors out

Issue:

Supervisor version 1.6.4.6 was running. I was able to log in, but could not search - the gears just turned.

Of the 24 configured Supervisors, 10 was logged in. The supervisor log showed the following entry:

[2013-05-15 14:56:28] Version [1.6.4.6]farzaana timed out concurrent searches waiting period.

NOTE: Concurrent searches is configured as 5.

Solution:

For this example: If more than 5 concurrent searched the next will be queued. If the individual Supervisor time out setting times out before they stop queuing, it can cause this issue.

I suggest:

1. The supervisors use the search criteria to limit the search and therefore quicker search result. Also see: How can I speed up my AMETHYST Supervisor call search?
2. Also do not use the SEARCH ANY option unless really necessary, as it will search all the fields in the database for a match.

To resolve the issue for now, I stopped/started the Supervisor. I could then do a search.
