Installing AMETHYST 1.5 and AMTCards for line/trunk recording:

Network:
1. Install Card server on the network.
Set the IP address in Windows under Network settings. It must be on the same subnet as the
AMETHYST server.
2. Install the AMETHYST server on the network.
The default IP address is 192.168.10.30(It could be 30 to 35). You can ping it to test. To
change the IP address of the
AMETHYST server go to WebAdmin, select 'Configure Network Settings'. Please note if you
click on 'Apply' the server will
re-boot.
3. In AMETHYST webadmin you must configure the cardserver IP. In 'Configure Cardserver IP'
you must enter the cardserver IP and display name. The 'Configure Cardserver', 'View
Cardserver display' and 'Configure Cardserver rules' link on home page will only appear
after the cardserver ip was entered.
Recording:
4. Configure the cable and recording card drivers(SMARTWorks).

Please note: If the PABX was changed from for example Siemens to a Alcatel Media Gateway 4400.
Please take care with the wiring.
5. Now you need to setup the card server for line recordings.

SMDR data:
7. AMETHYST: SMDRLink should already be configured with the information provided on the
Order Confirmation document, simply connect the serial cable. If SMDRLink is set
to 'SMDRLink detail log', you can view the rawdata and its configuration for AMETHYST.
8. TOPAZ(if applicable): To send SMDR data to PABX3 from SMDRLink,

Only refer to sections 'Smdrlink Settings' and 'PABX3 settings'.

Conclude:
Click on Configure SMDRLink on the homepage and login using
Username: admin
Password: xxxxxxx (were xxxxxxx represents the password)
Turn log level to All and click on 'apply changes'.
Do test calls and verify with SMDRLink detail log that the calls are coming in on the
correct lines.
