TAPI Associate: Configuring the devices to be monitored

Postby Belinda Frick » Thu Nov 18, 2010 12:43 pm

Required:

  • Samsung OfficeServLink must be running and receiving data from the SAMSUNG Office Serv PABX.
  • User names can be configured on the PABX side.
  • TAPI Associate (C:\Program Files\Datatex\TAPIAssociate\)

Configure / Add additional extensions:

  • In the TAPI Associate folder you need to configure all the extensions to be monitored in the 'extension.dat' file. Each extension must be on one line.

  • In the 'TAPIAssociate.ini' TAPI Associate will update the user names section as it receives this information from the PABX software (no manual configuration needed).

  • The TAPI Associate must be stopped and then started under the services to read in the new extension numbers. Then the new extensions should be usable.

    To restart the service:

      Open the Services Console
(Click Start -> click on Run -> and enter "Services.msc" and click OK)
Find the TAPIAssociate in the list and click on it.
Click on the stop button and wait for it to stop.
Then Click the play button to start it again.

Note: If you are using Datatex Tapi Antifreeze, you will need to stop this service first, else it will continue to restart the TAPIAssociate when you stop it.
