Call tagging cuts the calls on Alcatel digital phones

Postby Belinda Frick » Thu Nov 18, 2010 12:52 pm

The default setting on Amethyst 1.6 for call tagging is "**".
When pressing "**" on a digital Alcatel Extension, the call is dropped.
This must be some default PBX setting.

The call tagging trigger keys can be changed on Amethyst card server.
In the amtcards.ini file in the option section you can find the setting
like this below:

[OPTIONS]
MARKERDTMF=**

You can change this to

[OPTIONS]
MARKERDTMF=#9

This will ensure that you can use "#9" as the marker feature on the phones where
the "**" doesn't work.
