The first couple of releases of the Amethyst 1.6 cardserver sent through each
recording channel as a recording device to Amethyst. This information was
used to check the status of channels. If the recording service was stopped and
was no longer sending information through to Amethyst the following critical
email was generated. It looks similar to the Client Software down critical email.

The SLVR or USBCLIENT application has been closed down
The PC was shutdown
The network is down
Faulty network cabling
Card Recorders - Analog
Voltage interference on the extension line
Bad connection
Damaged Cable
Try Resetting the port

The "COMPUTER=" will contain the name of the cardserver followed by the
channel that is not responding. The example above is for the computer CARDSERVERPE
and it is the seconds slot and the 6th channel that is giving a problem.
