How do I replace an USB NFS drive?

Postby Belinda Frick » Wed Mar 09, 2011 2:39 pm

1. Remove the old USB drive and connect the new USB drive.

2. You need to stop and start NFS to pick up the new drive.
START -> CONTROL PANEL -> Services for Unix Administration.
Right-click on NFS server and the stop, thereafter start.

3. Create the folder on the NFS drive
(as configured under 'Configure Archiving' in Admin).

4. Share the folder as NFS.

Right-click on the folder you want to share.
You will see a new tab called "NFS Sharing".
Click on the tab, and then click on "Share this folder".
Click on the "Permissions" button.
Click on the "Add" button and under "Add Names",
enter the host name of your Amethyst server (i.e. gem or amethyst).
Select "Read-Write" under "Type of Access".
Make sure that root access is allowed.

5. Log into AMETHYST Webadmin and select 'Configure Archive',
click on 'Test Connection' to see if AMETHYST is picking up the
drive.
