CRE recording: I want to add extension to be recorded

Postby Belinda Frick » Thu Mar 10, 2011 9:44 am

Licensing is done with the physcial extension number and not the login/virtual extension. Please ensure you have the physical extension numbers to be added.

Configuration required on Datatex software:

AMETHYST Webadmin:
Please check if you have enough license in AMETHYST.

AMETHYST CRE:
  • Click 'Configure Card server / CRE' on the main screen in the "Recording" block.
If you have more than one CRE, all the CRE servers will be listed here. Click on the one that you want to configure.
  • On the right side on right hand side of the page in the listbox marked 'Unassigned devices' select the device you want to record. (if there is no extensions here, it was not configured on Recorded Devices screen).
  • Click the "<<" (arrows pointing to the left) to move the extension from the unassigned devices to the Allocated list.

  • Click on the 'APPLY CHANGES'. It will load the new settings and not cut recordings.

AMTMITEL:
Configure devices to be monitored for call details on the Mitel.

Note: AMTMitel does not handle the start and stop of the recording, the CRE get those instructions from the SRC. The AmtMitel only provides the call details.

AMTClient:

Popups require that AMTClients be installed on the agents PCs where required.
How do I configure AmtClient 1.6

AMTMitel and user names:
If the user names are configured on the Mitel (Mitel phone book), the AMTMitel will try and retrieve the user names for the recording.

Also See:
I use a Mitel and I don't get usernames next to recordings

MITEL SRC:
Configuring Mitel SRC Licenses

The Mitel Phone:

NOTE: This configuration cannot be done remotely, it must be configured on the physical phone.

Also see: Which Mitel extensions can be recorded with an SRC?

The Mitel Secure Linux page (MSL):

Log into the MSL and check that the new extension added shows connected

Connected extensions will have a green tick next to it. If it shows a red cross you need to investigate why.

NOTE: If the status shows a tick (not connected), this devices will not be recorded.

If using 1.6.3.18.
Please stop the sweeper and go to configure recorded devices and click on apply.
Then start the sweeper again.

This is as sometimes the device list is not picked up after changes.

I added new extensions to be recorded and the recordings are not loading. This could be due to Devices not updating correct - please refer to forum post: Recordings for my new extensions is not updating to AMETHYST

If using AMETHYST webadmin Version 1.6.4.10 with AMTMitelCRE version 1.6.4.9 or older, please note:

  • If you added the new extensions to be recorded to the AMETHYST Device List, it will not auto update these devices to the 'Unassigned' list under 'Configure Cardserver/CRE' as with previous versions.

  • DO NOT USE the 'Configure Cardserver/CRE' link from the AMETHYST webadmin Home page to update the extensions to be recorded by AMTMitelCRE.
  • DO NOT make any changes using the 'Configure Cardserver/CRE' link.
  • DO NOT click on APPLY Changes after using the 'Configure Cardserver/CRE' link.
  • Please contact Datatex support to assist with adding the extensions to be recorded.
NOTE: This issue will be addressed in a future verison of AMTMitelCRE.
