AMTCARD 1.6 and number matching

Cardserver number matching:

To confirm whether number matching will work,
the following rules need to be followed:

  1. ?For VOX, never use number matching.
  2. For digital extension-side, only use number matching if the
    telephone number received by the card is reliable (i.e. it's
    always given and always correct).
  3. The SMDR and card must both support CLI if CLI is available.
    If only one supports CLI, the numbers will never match.
  4. Either the SMDR number or the card number must appear within
    the other, starting at the first digit of the number. See the
    table on page 2 for a more detailed explanation.
  5. For NGX D-Channel, the telephone number must always be given.
    Also, extra digits after, combined with PIN codes and access codes
    may cause problems.
  6. For analogue, number matching may not work since extra digits
    often appear after the number. These extra digits may prevent
    the match from working. However, CLI is usually perfect, so if
    you have CLI, use number matching for incoming calls.
  7. For ISDN (DP cards and NGX in BRI mode), number matching is
    usually perfect for both directions. Make sure the SMDR data is
    reliable.

Changing the number matching settings:

Add the following section to the cardserver INI file:

Code: Select all
[NUMBERMATCHING]
x=y
x=y
x=y

where x is the PCI slot and y is the setting for each card on the
system.

The values for y are:
    " 0 - number matching off
    " 1 - number matching on for incoming calls only
    " 2 - number matching on for outgoing calls only
    " 3 - number matching on for both incoming and outgoing calls

A more detailed explanation
The complete card number must appear within the SMDR number or vice
versa and the match must be at the first digit.
