EXCESSIVE RECORDINGS IN PROCESS LIST (115)ON SERVER

Postby John Richard Procter » Mon May 30, 2011 1:23 pm

When there are more recordings in memory than the number of
cardserver channels that your cardserver has available for
recording, you will get the EXCESSIVE RECORDINGS IN PROCESS
LIST critical error message.

Please upgrade to the cardserver version 1.0.7.2 or newer.

This is a critical warning. If it occurs once, it means on
at that time the cardserver is processing a high volume of
calls. If the warning is not repeated, then the processing
has caught up.

Analog recording:

You will see that the e-mail starts with a 'low' number of
recordings in the process list, it then builds up to a maximum
and then counts down again. The critical error message will
be sent when the recordig card receive events and it cannot
process it immediately. It will be queue and the e-mail will
show how many events must still be processed.

If a huge recording needs to be processed, it will have the
same efect. Once the huge recording is processed all other
queued processed will continue.

It has been noted on analog recording if the router is reset
that huge recordings can be created (due to voltage issues).
