--------------------- CRITICAL ERRORS START HERE ---------------------
[2011-11-28 21:00:13] Version [1.6.3.18]Error mounting NFS archive drive
(192.168.2.2: AMT_ARCHIVE): Broken pipe OR Unknown device
---------------------- CRITICAL ERRORS END HERE ----------------------

  • Please check admin log for more details. Archiving starts at 21h00 each night.

AMETHYST Webadmin Home page, select 'View Logs'.
Select date as per critical e-mail.
Check the log entries from 21h00 onwards for more detail regarding the error message.

  • Note that the share name is case sensitive - in this example "AMT_ARCHIVE". To check if your settings is correct go to 'Configure Archiving' from the webadmin Home page. Verify the settings and click on 'Test Connection'.

    • If this is not succesfull, you need to investigate why AMETHYST cannot see the NFS share - refer to settings as per forum post:

      How do I setup NFS?

    • If successfull, then the connection was lost while busy archiving. It could be network related, a problem on the PC - for example a virus or faulty drive, etc.
UNDER INVESTIGATION!!!
