Please note:
- When using the USBClient for recording of the Switchboard, the cutting of calls is SMDR dependant. SMDR data is the call details from the PABX. This is send when the call is ended.
SMDR does not always provide us with stop message. If no stop message is received by the USBClient, then the recording cannot be terminated. The USBClient 1.6 will go into wrap-up mode to terminate the recording after 13 seconds of 'silence' time. Silence time is not configurable. If the next call is made/received within the 13 seconds you will have a continuous recording as no call termination was received from the PABX.
On a switchboard, calls can be put on hold, transferred, pick up, etc. Therefore the PABX does not always provide the correct termination on the switchboard extension.
AMETHYST works on best effort, therefore slicing of calls will not always be 100%. - The USBClient recording software will always provide the following call details even if no call termination string received from the PABX (SMDR or TAPI):
- Date and Time (as provided by PC USBClient is running on)
- Extension Number (as configured in USBClient ini)
- Duration (as calculated by USBClient software)
- Your recording reference number will show in the reference field in AMETHYST.
- telephone number,
- destination,
- call direction,
- line/trunk
- If you have INCOMING as your telephone number and no value in the reference field, then your USBClient did receive call termination from the PABX. The reason it is showing INCOMING as telephone number is because CLI is not active on the incoming call. You should have telephone numbers for other recordings(if CLI is active).
