Critical mail: AMTMITEL LOST COMMUNICATION/RE-ESTABLISHED

When AMTMitel looses connection with the Mitel, it will send the LOST COMMUNICATION critical e-mail.

If you check in the AMTMitel log around the time of the critical e-mail, it will have an entry:
Code: Select all
2012-02-22 10:25:25.911 [1.6.4.5]  COMMS Error called

The above entry means that the Mitel Mitai lost communication with the Mitel PABX. AMTMitel connects to Mitai. It connects to the Mitel PABX.

AMTMitel will try and re-connect again. Once connected you will get the COMMUNICATION RE-ESTABLISHED critical e-mail.

NOTE:

  • The Mitel can be scheduled to do a regular maintenance restart. This can be scheduled daily, weekly, monthly, etc. When the PABX is restarted you can also get this error.
  • Network issues between the AMETHYST and the Mitel PABX can also cause this error.
  • We connect to the Mitai.dll, if a problem with the dll we will also loose communication and it will create this error.
