My recording has a buzz sound

The recordings worked previously and all recordings was correct. Some time after installation (a couple of weeks) a buzzing noise is now audible on the recordings.

Since the system was working and now it's not working, something must have changed to cause this problem.

Here are some possibilities that could cause this:

Check if the problem appears on all the extensions or just some.

Earth problem:

The PABX unit has its own power source and each PC with an USBClient has there own power source. If there is an earth differential ( PABX and PC don't use the same electrical earth) a buzz noise can be generated. This will usually be audible on the phones and on the recordings. It will be very noticeable when two internal extensions phone each other.

This can also be caused by the PABX being on an UPS and the earth being different between the UPS and the power that the PCs use.

Interference:

Cell routers and cellular phones can cause interference on the USBTap, just like a they make noise on aradio and on a screen. Other electrical devices that have been added since the installation has been completed, can also be causing the problem.
