Upgrading Amethyst 1.3 to 1.4 from the internet (Windows)

Firebird

Steps to follow:

Download all the required software.
Close all Amethyst Applications.
Make a full backup of Amethyst.

On the Amethyst Server:

Run Amethyst.Upgrade.Database.1.4.exe
This will extract the files you need for the upgrade:

Please note: Do not run the files listed below proceed to step 5!

AMT_Exclusive.exe
amt.sql
amtrsmove.exe
amtrsmove.ini
AMTUPGRD.exe
DBCreate.exe
fbclient.dll
midas.dll
msvcp60.dll
qtintf70.dll

The database upgrade: Interbase 1.3.
To do the upgrade, the database 'must' be Interbase 1.3
If not, upgrade to 1.3 by running AMTUPGRD.exe

The database upgrade: Interbase will be replaced with Firebird.

Follow procedure to uninstall Interbase and install Firebird:

Run the server upgrade.
You will get the following message after excepting the
file path:
"Please note This will update all files in your Amethyst
Server Directory. The database needs to be upgraded after
this update. Please run the AMTUPGRD.exe after backing
your database up. "

You can ignore this, since AMTUPGRD.exe was already run in
a previous step, before running AMT_Exclusive.exe.

On the Amethyst Supervisor PCs:

Run the supervisor upgrade for each supervisor:

Uninstall Interbase Client.
Install Firebird Client.

Run the supervisor upgrade.

The following files will be extracted:
AgentQualityReports.exe
amtsuper.exe
fbclient.dll
midas.dll
qtintf70.dll


On the Amethyst Agents PCs:

Run the USB / SLVR upgrade for each agent.
