How do I re-install the Cardserver?

Datatex must configure the recording side. If you cannot have Datatex do the re-install, you need to request a remote call out once the PC has been install to check the recording configuration and mapping of channels, aswell as installing the drivers for the recording cards (they can be PCI or PCI express, the motherboard must support it).

NOTE: Ensure you have the correct drivers for the motherboard.

Install the same version of Windows to ensure the recording card's drivers are support.

Backup the following:

  1. Code: Select all
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Datatex\Amethyst

  2. The desktop

  3. Take screenshots of the Smartworks configuration:
    START->CONTROL PANEL->SMARTWORKS
    Take screenshots of the boards for each card configuration.

    We need this to ensure the recording cards are placed in the same sequence and the channel mapping is the same (else wrong call details will be tied to the recordings).

Once the Cardserver is installed and the recording cable(s) connected, log a remote call out with Datatex Support to install the drivers for the recording card and to check that the configuration is correct.
