AMETHYST and the AVAYALink

Postby Belinda Frick » Thu Nov 18, 2010 12:08 pm

OVERVIEW

The AVAYA IP OFFICE uses a propriety interface getting real time data
from the PABX.

The AVAYALink application is available on request from Datatex.

AVAYALink will sent the SMDR data to AMETHYST (not SMDRLink).

Please use AVAYALink version 1.0.8.0 or newer.

Solution

AVAYALink is an application, no installation needed.
What is needed is Devlink.dll and AVAYALink.ini
(Both included with the AVAYALink application)

Before opening the application we need to change the ini settings
to match that of the current site setup.

(EXAMPLE OF INI)

[AVAYA]
PBXHost= PABX IP Address
PBXPassword= PABX Password (As provided by the PABX Technician) : This is specifically the
GetSetHost= AMETHYST IP password for the devlink
GetSetPort=9999 connection
GetSetLocalCode=021

[TRUNKS] These trunks are the port numbers as given by the PABX
35.2=T9041 associated with the line numbers
35.3=T9042
35.4=T9043
35.5=T9044
35.6=T9045
35.7=T9046
35.8=T9047
35.9=T9048
35.10=T9049
35.11=T9050
35.12=T9051
35.13=T9052
35.14=T9053
35.15=T9054
35.16=T9055
35.18=T9057
35.19=T9058
35.20=T9059
35.21=T9060
35.22=T9061
35.23=T9062
35.24=T9063

After all the neccessary changes are made to the INI save it and open the AVAYALink application

The application would automatically authenticate to the PABX and connect to it. The SMDR Data would be
sent to AMETHYST a long with the Start and Stop messages for the recording device I.E USBClient or AMTClient
