RELEASE NOTES: Amethyst Release version 1.1

Postby Belinda Frick » Tue Nov 16, 2010 8:04 am

AMETHYST 1.1 no longer supported, please
contact your dealer for upgrade options!

Two main features have been added.

1) Capturing screen shots online and while recording. (First part of AQM)
2) Email notifications of SLVR down and calls not being recorded.

To increase security and prevent unauthorized access, the server application
has been modified. It no longer has the facility to listen to calls or look
at the recording data.

For all this to work you will need the following application releases
or later.

AMTUPGRDE.EXE(1.0)
SLVR.EXE(3.2)
AMT.EXE(1.1)
AMTSUPER.EXE(1.1)
AMTSWEEPER(1.1)

How to upgrade

1) ALWAYS MAKE A BACKUP FIRST
2) Upgrade Amethyst - See documentation for upgrading of Amethyst.
3) Close down all relevant applications.
4) Copy new applications over existing applications.

How to see the current screen of an agent

You obviously need access rights as supervisor to see and listen in
on an agent.

As supervisor, double click on the agent status line, exactly as if
you were listening in on the call. You will immediately see whatever
is open on the agents screen at that given time. You can now click on
"Refresh" to manually reflect any changes on the agents screen. You can
also select "Auto Refresh" to update the screen every five seconds with changes
on the agents screen. The "Stretched" option allows you to zoom in on the
screen for a more detailed view of the agents screen.

For automatic screen capturing

In the SLVR->OPTIONS under the "AGENT QUALITY MANAGEMENT" group box

1. Set the "Auto enable screenshots" checkbox to checked.
2. Set the snapshot interval. The default is 30 seconds.
3. Click on "Save" to save your new settings.
4. Click on "Start Recording" button to start the recording monitoring.

Your SLVR.INI file should look something similar to this.

-------------------------------------
[RECORD]
TRIGGERLEVEL=83
SILENTTIME=20
WRAPUPTIME=5
SOUNDPATH=.\Data\
AUTOSHOW=0
MINLEN=30
AllowShutdown=1

SERVERPORT=27000

[STATION]

[Agent Quality Management]

How to see screens that were captured in the SLVR

On the supervisor main screen, click on "Recording Data" and select a call.
Click on "Screens". All the recorded screens will be listed on the left.
Click on any screen on the left to see detailed info on the right.
Note the screens are timestamped to indicate at what interval during the
conversation the screen info was captured. Again the stretched box can be
used to see an actual size of the screenshot.

Email notifications

This requires a SMTP mail server, the configuration of this server
is to be entered in the AMTSERVER.INI file and TOPAZ installed and running at
all times.

PLEASE NOTE that no email will be sent if the AdminEmail info is empty.

Your server configuration in the INI file should look something like this:

-------------------------------------
[SMTP]
SMTPSERVER=127.0.0.1
USER=root
AdminEmail=amethyst@localhost.co.za
ReplyTo=amethyst@localhost.co.za
FromAddress=amethyst@localhost.co.za
-------------------------------------

The above is just an example and should reflect your installation and setup
details. Contact your system administration manager to assist you if you do
not understand the above.
