The Media Player button on Amethyst Supervisor doesn't work

Postby Belinda Frick » Tue Nov 16, 2010 8:07 am

You might not have the GSM2PCM utility in the Amethyst Supervisor folder. This utility converts the recording data to a WAV file, which can then be played by Windows Media Player.

Windows Media Player is not necessarily the application which will be used to play the recording data. Amethyst will use the default application which has been configured to play WAV files. If no application has been configured to play WAV files, then the "Windows Media Player" button on Amethyst will not work.

You can verify this by double-clicking on the WAV file in the Amethyst Temp folder(or any .wav on the PC). If nothing happens, you have to configure an application to play WAV files:

Right-click on .wav file.
Select 'Open With'.
Choose your Media Player from 'Reccommended List' or Browse to find it.
Tick 'always use selected program to open file of this kind'.
Click on 'OK'.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
