The error looks like a problem with the initialization of the drive.

  1. Since there are no recording on the drive, you can format the drive in Windows as FAT32.
  2. Simply place the harddisk in the backup drive. No need to initialize in AMETHYST.
  3. Go to the "Server Settings" page and select the "archive now" link.
