How do I know AMTCards are recording?

Postby Belinda Frick » Thu Aug 18, 2011 6:21 pm

  1. Check in the amtcards log if recordings are taking place:

    • Accessing amtcards.log:

      • You need to log into AMETHYST Webadmin.

        URL AMETHYST Webadmin: https://127.0.0.1:3080
        where 127.0.0.1 should be the AMETHYST IP.

        On the HOME page choose the 'Configure Cardserver/CRE' link.
        On the top left side there is a link for view the log file.
        Open the link by clicking on it, scroll down to the last entry.
        Check if it is current date and time - then we know the recording software is currently running.

      • If you cannot log into Webadmin, you can log direct onto the Cardserver. You will need the Windows log in and password. Once logged in, navigate to todays log folder, for example 20130826:
        Code: Select all
        C:\Program Files\datatex\amethyst\amtcards\20130826

    • If you check the entries above the last entry, a successful recording will display something like this:

      Code: Select all
      [2011-07-25 07:29:04.113] Version [1.6.3.6] Recorded(DTA)=>EXT:749,USER:,LINE:23,NUMBER:0121111405,DURATION:0:00:27,INCOMING(052_07DB42151C231.ZLB)

      Check for "Recorded(DTA)=>EXT: ".

    • For each recording amtcards will show 3 entries:

      Code: Select all
      [2011-07-25 07:37:42.754] Version [1.6.3.6]   DTA for 054_07DB421585F00: FTP|AMTCARDS|2011-07-25 07:36:32|054_07DB421585F00.gsc|MR MISTER |0835430393||7036|0:02:01|||25|O|11.2.10.87||9060||

      [2011-07-25 07:37:42.754] Version [1.6.3.6]   DT2 for 054_07DB421585F00: FTP|AMTCARDS|2011-07-25 07:35:08|054_07DB421585F00.gsc|AMTCARDS|0835431234||9060|0:02:01|||25|O|11.2.10.87||||

      [2011-07-25 07:37:48.316] Version [1.6.3.6] Recorded(DTA)=>EXT:7036,USER:MR MISTER,LINE:25,NUMBER:0835431234,DURATION:0:02:01,OUTGOING(054_07DB421585F00.ZLB)

      • DTA is the call details received from the PABX/TAPI/etc.
      • DT2 is the call details from the recording card.
      • "Recorded(DTA)=>EXT:" is the details send to AMETHYST with the recording.

        If you have no DTA entry and only DT2 and "Recorded(DT2)=>EXT:" , then recordings are taking place but no call details is received. The call details the recordings card can produce is used. For trunk side recording you will have extension number as EXT.

        NOTE:

        1.) If verbose logging enabled then there will be more details in between these entries.
        2.) If "EXT:EXT", then you are not receiving call details for trunk side recording and if EXT is not a recorded device these calls will be rejected.
        3.) When searching for EXT extensions you need supervisor log with access to user AMTCARDS.
  2. To search for these recordings in Supervisor they must be sent from the Cardserver to AMETHYST and be sweeped into the database.

    To see when last calls was loaded into AMETHYST, please log into AMETHYST webadmin and click on the 'View Call History' link. It will list calls for the last hour, etc. It will also have a link to the sweeper log file. Click on this and check when the last recording was loaded. This will help us check if calls are currently being recorded.

    If no access to AMETHYST webadmin, check if you have zlb files in the COMPLETE folder.

    In the above example of a successful recording you can see the reference number of the recording (zlb file name):
    Code: Select all
    [2011-07-25 07:37:48.316] Version [1.6.3.6] Recorded(DTA)=>EXT:7036,USER:MR MISTER,LINE:25,NUMBER:0835431234,DURATION:0:02:01,OUTGOING(054_07DB421585F00.ZLB)

    In this example '054_07DB421585F00'. If still in the complete folder, it has not been sent to AMETHYST. Please try a manual ftp to see what causes the ftp/access issue to the AMETHYST server - refer to forum post: I have no calls in Supervisor for my remote site
    Use the same steps but for path:
    Code: Select all
    C:\Program Files\Datatex\Amethyst\Complete

    Note if you have enough space on the Cardserver. Once you run out of space, you will start to loose recordings.
