Samsung TAPI issues

Postby Leon van Heerden » Mon Sep 05, 2011 8:29 pm

The Samsung TAPI requires that the following services are disabled:
Code: Select all
Remote Access Auto Connection Manager (RASAuto)
Remote Access Connection Manager (RasMan)

You might not be able to stop the services while the PC is running or if you are connected via Remote Desktop. You will then have to restart the PC for these services to be disabled. This will disable the Dial-up facility on the PC.

The Telephony Service must also be in Exclusive mode.
You need to use the TapiEX (for 32bit) utility to change the mode of the telephony services.
or Follow this guide:
http://www.i-b-a-m.de/Andreas_Marschall's_TAPI_and_TSPI_FAQ.htm#_Q:_How_can_6

If the Samsung TSP doesn't connect to the PBX on start-up, you will need to use the re-connection utility to re-establish the connection. make sure that all TAPI applications are stopped before running this utility.
Under Services check if the following services are installed and stop them:
  • TAPIAssociate
  • TAPILink (This should not be running on the same server as TAPIAssociate)
  • TAF or TAPI AntiFreeze
If Ruby TAPI is running, stop it as well. (it will be a red icon in the Windows Icon Tray)

Open the Samsung Re-connection Utility from the Start Menu under the Samsung Menu.
  • Click the Reconnect button if there are no errors, you can start your TAPI applications again.
  • Go to Services and start the TAPI applications that you stopped.
