How can I access my Amethyst recordings remotely?

Postby Leon van Heerden » Wed Nov 23, 2011 11:57 am

Since Amethyst 1.5, the Amethyst Supervisor interface has been a webpage that you access.
No additional software is required to listen to the recordings.

Amethyst 1.5 used to use a http://192.168.1.4 URL. (TCP port 80)
and
Amethyst 1.6 and higher uses a https://129.168.1.4 URL (TCP port 443)
(where 192.168.1.4 was your server's IP address)

If you require to access your Amethyst Supervisor remotely, you will have to allow traffic through your firewall to the Amethyst server's Supervisor port. You will then point your browser to the external IP/Hostname of your Firewall to access the Supervisor.

You will have access to all the recording playback, Agent Quality Management and reporting facilities that you would have while you are on site.

This has to be authorized and configured by the entities that administrate your firewall.

The alternative is to setup a VPN with your network at the office and once you are connected tot he VPN, to access the Supervisor using the same URL that you used internally on the network.
