I am using extension side recording and AMTClient for popups, some recordings for my extension number show the user name and others AMTCards as user name.
- If no user name is configured in AMETHYST, then AMTClient will provide the user name. AMTClient uses the Windows login as user name. AMTClient can only provide a user name if the user is logged into Windows, if not no user name is sent to AMETHYST and it will default the user name to AMTCARDS.
Please ensure that:
- your AMTClient is always running and
- the agent is always logged in as the correct Windows user.
- Where can I configure a user name in AMETHYST?
- If a user name is received from the PABX then this user name will be used
(for example with AMTMitel, see forum post I use a Mitel and I don't get usernames next to recordings).
SMDRLink also has a EXTENSION MAPPING feature that will provide an user if configure. See forum post: Why is my user name displayed as AMTCARDS?
NOTE: If you use AMTMitel, it will not use SMDRLink's user mapping.
- If no user name is present or AMTCards is the user name when a call is sweeped on the AMETHYST server, then it will:
- first use CTI devices (AMTClient popups)
CTI Devices receives the user name from the Windows login of the PC where AMTClient is running. If not running and/or not logged into Windows, you will have AMTCARDS as user name. - and then Virtual Extensions as lookup.
How do I configure virtual extensions in AMETHYST?
Sequence in which AMETHYST check for a user name, if not available it will use the next option:
- SMDRLink plugin(PABX dependent) or AMTMitel
- SMDRLink extension mapping
- Configure CTI Devices(AMTClient popups)
- Configure Virtual Extensions.
