Amethyst Archive Listen Access Violation

Postby John Richard Procter » Mon Nov 26, 2012 4:54 pm

When I try and access recordings on my archive drive I get the following error:
Access violation at address 0050D04D in module 'amtListen.exe.' Read of address FFFFFFF

  • Windows Xp/Vista/7
This problem occurs if the user accessing the archive drive does not have administrative rights on the PC where amtlisten is run from.

  • Windows 7/Vista
UAC= User Account Control also causes the error mentioned above.
Make sure that the UAC is disabled when using amtlisten because the database needs to extract to the specific PC .UAC does not allow this if enabled.
