The solution is to use the virtual extensions feature.
This feature is for CTI agents
(agents being started/stopped from outside programs)
and hot-seats is where the extension moves with the agent,
regardless of which physical phone they use.
Install the new amethyst server 1.4.1.2 or higher
Get a list of the agent login names and their extensions that
move with them if they log into a different phone.
On the server, go to the Tools menu option.
Click on the Setup Virtual Extensions menu option.
This will display a list of usernames that come from the
'Configure Supervisors' list of users. To enter the virtual extension,
click on the username in the grid and it will display
at the bottom. Enter the virtual extension in the edit
field and click on Apply. It will update the grid.
You can also use the up and down arrows to select the names.
Type the extension and press the enter key to apply the change.
Once all the virtual extensions are entered, click on the
Save Changes button to save or the Discard Changes
to not save anything that was changed.
Remember to configure the Topaz IP and port in the ini file for
these agents as well.
