How to work with the SliceRecording program

Postby Belinda Frick » Tue Nov 16, 2010 12:46 pm

Process
First use the Amethyst Supervisor to save the
recording that must be split into a directory of
your choice.
Run the SliceRecording program.
Select the recording with the open button at
the top right.
The recording will start playing and you can
listen where you want to slice it.
When the location is reached, you can click
on the 'Slice Now' button.
The slice will take place and the second part
of the recording will start playing.

Naming
The file that was playing when the 'Slice Now'
button was clicked will always get a '_org' added
to the name.
The first part of the recording will get a '_1' added
and the second part which is now the playing file
will have '_2' added to the name.
eg.
95_07D43936C524_1.wav -> First part of original file
95_07D43936C524_2_1.wav
95_07D43936C524_2_2_1.wav
95_07D43936C524_2_2_2_1.wav
95_07D43936C524_2_2_2_2_1.wav
95_07D43936C524_2_2_2_2_2_1.wav
95_07D43936C524_2_2_2_2_2_2.wav
95_07D43936C524_2_2_2_2_2_org.wav
95_07D43936C524_2_2_2_2_org.wav
95_07D43936C524_2_2_2_org.wav
95_07D43936C524_2_2_org.wav
95_07D43936C524_2_org.wav -> Second part of original file
95_07D43936C524_org.wav -> The original file
'_org','_1' and '_2 will be added for every split that takes
place.
