This had been noted with Windows 10 and Internet Explorer 11.

I can search for recording. The Media Player is displayed, but the play button does not activate to play the recording. I can download the recording and play it with Media Player.

This is an administrative rights issue in the browser, allow it and the recording will play.

If it is set on the global policy, then the IT side must enable access to allow the Media Player.
