How to use Amethyst Predefined searches in the supervisor

Postby Belinda Frick » Wed Nov 17, 2010 1:13 pm

Supervisors can configure different predefined searches that can be displayed
as a link or in a dropdown list. Log into the Amehtyst supervisor.
Go to the Personal Supervisor Settings screen. At the botom of
this screen there is the section where the predefined searches can be configured.

First decide which type of display you want for the predefined searches.
Predefined searches can be displayed as a link to click on or in a dropdown list.
If you define too many searches to display next to each other, it is better to
choose the dropdown list option. There is a Display Type section where you
can choose the display type. Ether display as links or in a dropdown list.

Last 7 Days
This will display links for each day of the previous week.
Only the date field will be updated, so the other fields can be changed to
narrow the search.

Large History
The date field will be updated with large date selections.
eg Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, This Month, Last Month, This Year, Last Year.
Only the date field will be updated, so the other fields can be changed to
narrow the search.

Predefined
You can define your own criteria for everyday searches. Click on the
ADD PREDEFINED SEARCH button. This will add a new line of fields. There
will be a field entry for every searchable field on the supervisor search screen.
The first entry is the name of the link. The date selection is done with a dropdown list.
This will contain the same entries as in the Large Searches. To delete a predefined search,
click on the delete button at the end of the line.

Click on the APPLY CHANGES button to save your changes. When you go to the search screen,
you will see your predefined searches. If you decided to display links, the links will be just under the
Search Any section. If you chose the dropdown list, the list will be in the Search Any
section, next to the number of records found label.
