In the past we have had soft recordings on an LDA (Analogue Cards). This was attributed
to incorrect wiring and was corrected by swapping the wires. For wiring on the LD see

On digital (PRI) the only reason why the call can be soft is if the source is soft.
There is no loss of volume on transmission through digital equipment.
We can turn on Automatic Gain Control (AGC) but the client must be aware that
the sound could be distorted if it is turned to high.

AMTCards will record what it receives from the channel. Therefore if the
channel is soft, the recording will be soft. If your wiring is correct and
recordings are still soft, then you can try adjusting the GAIN on that channel.
Investigate to find which channels is soft.
You can set the gain per channel.
The Gaining must be set in the AMTCards.ini and NOT in the AI-LOGIX software.

'Volume' is for output. 'Gain' is for input. We will not use volume, since we're
not outputting anything on the channel 1_11(in this example). 12 in this case is
12dB. It can range from -50dB to 24dB. -50dB is equivalent to muting the channel,
and 0dB is the current setting. dB isn't linear though, so we might end up using
something like 22dB where 21dB is too soft. You cannot use negative values.
Note that in this example the value 12 will be used for incoming and outgoing.
You can allocate and individual value by using the format 1_11=12_18. The value
allocated to incoming/outgoing will depand on the wiring. To test which is for
example outgoing, set 1_11=0_18 and make an outgoing test call. Then change it to
1_11=18_0 and make another outgoing test call. With the 2 test calls, the recording
with clear sound will have '18' represents outgoing. Now use this to do your
individual gain setting for incoming/outgoing per recording channel.
When changing the GAIN in the AMTCards.ini, we suggest to do it outside office
hours. It involves stopping the recording service, doing testing, etc. This can result
in recording being cut, new recordings not starting!.
