I have no calls in Supervisor for my remote site

Postby Belinda Frick » Thu Nov 18, 2010 1:09 pm

Overview:

If recordings is currently taking place, there will be GSM files in the
WORK folder. These files is converted to zlb and moved to the UPLOAD folder.

Path of recordings to AMETHYST Supervisor:

Cardserver:
WORK folder (GSM/DTA/DT2 files) ->
FTP folder ->
UPLOAD folder (zlb files)

send via FTP to AMETHYST and the Sweeper will ftp the recordings into the database to enable access with AMETHYST Supervisor.

To see if how old the recording are and if current, check the modify date of the .GSM or .zlb files.

Please check:

If no files in the WORK folder, check why recordings is not taking place.
Enable verbose logging and do a test call to track what is wrong.

The Remote AMETHYST Server will upload zlb files from the "Upload" folder to the Amethyst server.

If upload folder empty and recordings not found in Supervisor, check in sweeper or reject log.

If still in the upload folder there is a problem with the ftp.
Test this by opening a command prompt on the remote AMETHYST server.
Enter "ftp " followed by the AMETHYST server IP, for example
Code: Select all
ftp 192.168.1.141

If you get prompted with a login and password, then the FTP is working.

If you do not get prompted for a login, try stopping and starting the Remote AMETHYST service. Please do not stop and start AMTCards as it will cut your recordings.

AMTServer (remote AMETHYST) handles the ftp.

AMTServer.ini
Code: Select all
[NETWORK]
DNS=0
FTPSCHEDULING=1
STARTFTP=00:00
ENDFTP=23:59
FTPHOST=192.168.1.41
FTPLOGIN=amethyst
FTPPASSWORD=amt

FTPHOST is the AMETHYST IP
FTPSCHEDULING must be enabled, therefore set to 1
Note: AMTServer (Remote AMETHYST) handles the ftp to AMETHYST and not AMTCards.
To set ftp time to 'live', configure as example: 00:00 - 23:59

Manual FTP from remote server to AMETHYST:

You need to be on the remote AMETHYST cardserver.

START -> RUN -> CMD
Change the directory to the UPLOAD folder where the zlb files are:
cd C:\Program Files\Datatex\Amethyst\Upload

ftp {AMETHYST server IP} and enter
login with ********
password is ***
type 'bin' and press the enter key
type 'hash' and press the enter key
type 'prompt' and press the enter key

to ftp one file, get the reference number from the amtcards.log
type 'put', press the space bar, enter the reference number (.zlb) and press
the enter key.
to ftp multiple files (for example use a wildcard for the file names):
type 'mput', press the space bar, enter '*.zlb' and press the enter key.

The progress of the ftp will be show with '#' accross the screen.

Once complete, search in AMETHYST supervisor for the reference number.
If you made a test call today, you can narrow the search range by using todays
date and the extension the call was made from (or telephone number if you want
to check the extension was configured correct). If the site is not very busy
you can simply search for all calls for today.

NOTE: The Remote Server gets ZLB files from the FTP folder (Datatex\Amethyst\FTP), adds the remote server ID, and places them in the Upload folder (Datatex\Amethyst\Upload) to be uploaded to Amethyst. It then checks if any files must be uploaded and uploads them. This happens every 60 seconds.
